Miracles are true. I already heard a story from my friend that they had encounter an incident in the middle of the ocean, wherein they were trapped there because they were ran out off gas. The miracle there is that there is a man who is riding on an inflatable boat who is coming to rescue them . When the inflatable boat is getting near, the man disappeared and he said to me that probably it was Jesus who have helped them.

Absolutely. Daniel Dennett, a prominent atheist spokesperson, believes that we ought to teach RELIGION to every child. He believes that such an inoculation would make it harder for parents to deceive their children. I tend to agree.

I think all religious people take advantage of their children’s naivety to get them to believe the crazy stuff they believe and this is a dishonest, unethical and irrevocably harmful practice. I’m just wondering if the reason there are still so many people who continue to believe the nonsense their parents manipulated them into believing is that people are reluctant to disappoint their parents.

High crimes and misdemeanors, minus the misdemeanors. He should have been impeached (at least) when the torture of (suspected) al-Qaeda prisoners at Guantanamo Bay was brought to light.

Why was not George W. Bush impeached, at the very least, for war crimes against humanity?

I think the American people (vocal or...by the same 'token'...inaudible) were simply 'fed-up' of anti-Americanism, especially after 9-11.

What gets me is that we're (by our inaction/acceptance of the Bush administration's policies) apathetic, apparently.

Everything is cool, as long as it doesn't effect our relative ease of living, and/or national pride.

But this forces me to ask, pride of WHAT?

Thanks. Little slow to reply since I've been distracted lately. Since I first posted that, the homosexual community has gained on a lot of fronts. I'm specially proud of Iowa and the judiciary there since I graduated HS in Fort Dodge.

If I had any artistic ability myself I might attempt such a feat, but I've been gifted in other areas so I'm not complaining.

What's wrong with the world? This young man died because of pot? It's such a waste and I am sorry to hear about it. Pot is a pretty common drug, how could this happen? I work in a drug rehab center, it's my job to help people recover, despite all my working experience I am still not used with seeing so many wasted lives in the hands of drugs.

My prediction on the superbowl didn't exactly pan out, but folks who bet on the Cardinals and got the 6 odd points still beat the spread, so there will be some joy in the pocketbook to supplant that lost in Superbowl karma.

What Cornyn is saying is that he would like to protect the people who committed torture from being held accountable. He need not worry. If they are found guilty they will be treated far better as a captive then they ever treated their captives.

What do you mean the '60s were? My only problem with the '60s is that they never went away. Even now, so much of our politics and culture are just a reaction to what went on then. Sure, those times were important, but it's getting close to being two generations ago. We need to move on, at least a little.

I was young enough to experience innocence and simplicity and had siblings old enough, that I saw the horrors of drugs, war and rebellion.
Great things and BAD things happened in my life. JUST like everyone else. As it has been forever. We are not the only generation to see, WAR, DRUGS, and REBELLION. Get over the 60's and get on with life. Love your neighbors and be kind.
